Senior Kathryn Kuchenbrod Spotlight Kathryn Kuchenbrod's interests seem to lie in fine arts. When growing up, she learned how to play the flute and the piano. She also has been involv- ed in musical plays; she has been cast in musicals such as West Side Story, Music Man, Pirates of Penzance, and Annie Get Your Gun. In her junior year Kathryn was on the school newspaper staff, The Esprit. As a senior, she became Editor-in-Chief. Because she has had three years of French and a gift for writing, she also helped with the editing, writing, and publication of the French newspaper that is put out by the campus's French Club. Not only does she enjoy journalism, but also fiction. She is also an ac- tive member of the literary club. This club puts out a magazine called Legerdemain. Other in which she participates are Students of the World, Na- tional Honor Society and Quill and Scroll Honor Society. Kathryn spends so much of her time in extra-curricular activities, it is amazing that she has any time for her classes, yet she has maintained a 3.5 grade point average. She plans to go to Europe this summer, and next fall I hope to be attending an Art school in Los Angeles. People should try and pride themselves on their own individuality. A teacher who made me realize that each person has a 'uniqueness' was my journalism teacher, Ms. Neujahr, to whom I am grateful. 48 Phil McIntyre It's been great there past 4 years, thanks foe the memories.
