I Senior Suyoung Baik Spotlight For many reasons Suyoung Baik has been voted Most likely to succeed by the class of '83. One of the reasons is that she has been involved in stu- dent government since her sophomore year in school. As a Sophomore she was the class secretary-treasurer. As a junior she was the class's supreme court justice; and in her last year at ST, she was the senior class secretary-treasurer. With Suyoung's outstanding grade point average she has been a member of the National Honor Society for two years. She has also been involved in C.S.F., in which she was vice-president in her junior year. As a senior she became the club's president. She was the secretary general of the Santa Clara Model United Nations for two years. Suyoung was also a member of the In- ternational Relations Club for four years, and as a senior she was the club president. Another club in which she made a large contribution to was the literary club. Suyoung was also a decathathlete. She was award winning member in the Academic Decathlon. She was awarded medals in English, literautre and grammar. Since she exercised such great talent in the English field, ST's English department awarded her for literary talents in her junior year. She is also a fine tennis player. She could be found out on the court with Cathy Toscano, since they were the school's number one doubles tennis team. She was a netter for three years. Not only did Suyoung play tennis, but she also played badminton in her junior year. It would appear that she would not have any time to do much else, but Suyoung does volunteer work at the Santa Teresa Hospital. The class of '83 has been super — I have made many memories along with this talented group.
