16 Senior Dedication The class of 1983 had a difficult time deciding to whom the senior section should be dedicated. There were a lot of mixed feel- ings among the seniors, because S.T. has so many great teachers. It seemed that one man stood out in most minds — Mr. William M. Frazer. Every so often a teacher comes along that most of the student body thinks is very special. He has been chosen for his warmth and understanding that he shows for his students. Many students look upon him as a grandfather figure. Thus, he has a nickname of Grandfather Frazer. He has never let the generation gap separate him from his students. Mr. Frazer has been the head of the science department since 1973. He is respon- sible for Santa Teresa having one of the best science departments in the Santa Clara Valley. He is a life-time member of the Na- tional Honor Society and remains very active in this prestigious club. Since Grandpa Frazer is a Death Valley advisor, when the club plans the field trip, the members depend on Grandpa to leave two days early to take care of the red tape, which makes for a more enjoyable time for the club members. Mr. Frazer keeps very active with hobbies such as backpacking, camping, and think- ing. Among other things he has made (from scratch) his own color television set. The Class of '83 is very proud of our teachers, and especially proud to have a man such as Mr. Frazer on the Santa Teresa facul- ty. We thank you. Mr. Frazer for your help and guidance. The class of 1983 appreciates the many hours you have dedicated to our school. Senior Dedication
