MR. LUIS GARZA graduated from Santa Rosa in 1966. He graduated from Pan American Univ. in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. ln 1972 to 1978, he taught in Santa Maria. While he was teaching, he went to San Angelo University to be cer- tified in Distributive Education. He returned back to Pan American University to receive his Master's of Education. Then in 1980, he was elected to be principal of Santa Rosa High School. Mr. Garza says, he enjoys working with the students in Santa Rosa. MRS. ALAFAIR HAMMETT graduated from Axtell High School in Axtell, Texas. She went to college at Baylor University and Pan American University. She graduated there with a Post Graduate. She taught school in Edinburg for one year, Midland for two years, Harlingen for eleven years, La Feria for eleven years and then she came to Santa Rosa and has been teaching here for seven years. For the past two years, Mrs. Hammett has been our High School Counselor. MR. H. N. HEROD graduated from high school in Grapeland, Texas. He received his Master's degree in Music from Stephen F. Austin. Before coming to Santa Rosa, he taught school sixteen years at Austin School in Pharr, Texas. He has served as a Band Direc- tor for eighteen years. At present, he is the Assistant Principal for Santa Rosa Schools.
