Among other aims your school has sought to further the development of desirable attitudes, fine character, and right conductg to develop an understanding and appreciation of America's history-our Democracyg to impress upon each student his privileges and duties of citizen- ship, learned through participation in a Democratic environ- mentg to develop ability for thinking, reasoning, and seeking the truthg to develop a sound body with wholesome mental and emotional attitudesg to secure knowledge and to develop understanding in the basic skills of academic learningg and to develop worthy human relationships, cultural appreciation, and a consciousness of world citizenship. During your years here in high school, we have tried to make your education an experience in living that will serve you well throughout your life.
