J une Graduates John McA1pine VICE-PRESIDENT Dale Edwards With girls in white caps and gowns and boys in navy blue an impressive picture was made on the evening of Iune 12, by the Senior Class of 1947 when they marched down the aisle to complete four memorable years in the Santa Rosa High School. The members of this class have seen both years of war and of eace since their entrance into high school in 1943. At the be innin of their llunior year the war had been over for one month, and the class looked! forward to a happier year with most wartime restrictions lifted and the return of many school friends. The war, though being a handicap to this class, made them more observant of international life and democratic ideals. The Seniors were outstanding in activities. The Senior boys challenged the faculty men to a basketball game and were victorious with the final score being 27 to 24. One of the main events of the year was the class competition assembly in which the Seniors again came out in the lead. They presented a 30 minute skit which was entitled And the Villain Still Pursued Her. Happy Holiday was celebrated by the High Seniors taking over the places of the teachers. Five High Seniors impersonated Mr, Duey, Mrs. Yost, Mrs. Rothert, Mr. Trussell, and Mr. Rankin. There was also a Senior Penalty Board con- sisting of three High Senior boys and three High Senior girls. The board took care of any lower classmen who were out of order. These were only a few of the successful and memorable events which crowded their way into a year which was overflowing with happy activities. SECRETARY: June McMannis The 1947 Seniors were also outstanding in scholarship and distinguished themselves in every phase of their school careers. Although the student body will miss them and hates to see them go, it wishes them good luck and success throughout the future. TREASURER : Pat Hogan
