The first trip was an overnight camp at Three Falls Scout Reservation. The second WARREN McPHER5ON expedition was an overnight trip to the snow at Big Pines. A drixor The Girls' League is an organization including every girl in the school. Due to inconveniences during the year, the Girls' League was not as active as formerly. At the first ot the year, the Girls' League and G. A. A. gave a Big-and-Little-Sister Tea. ln November, the An- nual Hi-Jinks were held. Formally inducted by the Ventura Junior College Tri-Y on November 9, l937. On November I4 the Hi-Y and the Tri-Y were hosts and hostesses to a county meet ot Hi-Y and Tri-Y clubs. At Thanksgiving and Christmas time, assisted in the welfare work by giving food and clothing to the needy, and distributing toys to the children. ln December the girls enjoyed tour days in the snow at the Y. M. C. A. Winter Camp at Big Bear. Those who attended were: Miss Amy Chapman, advisor: Helen Marie Shroclc, Barbara Harrison, and Mildred Harrington. The Hi-Y were guests at a Christmas party given by the Tri-Y. ln February the Santa Paula Tri-Y won the county award tor out- standing organization. On March I4, the Tri-Y girls inducted the Carpinteria Tri-Y at Car- pinteria. On March 26 and 27 a Southern California Convention was held at Alhambra at which meet Miss Barbara Harrison was elected Vice-Presi- dent for this organization tor the following year.
