TI-IRIFT CLUB Among the activities sponsored by members of the Thrift Club were dinners, a saving contest, and supervision of all school banking. Potluck suppers were held by the club members the Iirst Thursday of each month. Bank monitors are appointed by Klrs. Bess Richard- son, and it is their duty to see that the banking is done each Tuesday morning. Ufficers of the organization were: president, Carl Hackworth: secretary, Pauline Kesslarg faculty adviser, Mrs. B. YV. Richardson. CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION Group activities of the California Scholarship Federation this year were limited during the first semester. However. a very inter- esting trip was taken to Occidental College in January. During the second semester, monthly parties were held. The organization also presented an exhibit of hobbies for the Parent- Teachers' Association in April. The officers of the California Scholarship Federation this year were: first semester: president, -Iohn Iiakin, vice-president, Ifdmond Buster: secretary, Gladys Atmoreg treasurer, Theda Call. Pl OMEGA XVith the purpose of promoting pleasant, wholesome social affairs and providing social training, Pi Omega held several teas and a luncheon this year in addition to its installation of ofiicers and initiation of new members. The club also sponsored a candy sale to raise money for its Christmas charity fund. ORDER OF GRECC ARTISTS One of the newest clubs at Santa Paula High School is the Order of Gregg Artists, which was organized in September of this year. lts purpose is to acquaint the members with local business enterprises. Among its activities this term was a breakfast held in the fall at which officers were elected. VARSITY CLUB Having as its purpose the promotion of sportsmanship and in- terest in athletics, the Varsity Club held weekly meetings this year before each game. ln February, six new members were initiated into the club. At the Parent-'lleachers' Carnival, the club sponsored a successful booth. All boys who made letters in varsitv sports are eligible for membership. CI RLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Among the activities of the Girls' Athletic Association this year was the sponsoring of a county play day at this school in the fall. Nine schools sent teams to participate. G.A.A. members also took part in the County Armistice Day parade, taking first prize in their division.
