l 5 3 1 1 I DUN SEALY IN DEDICA TION TO MR. DON SEALY ' -Coach and friend to his players. He will be remembered for his sincere belief in the fellowship of man and his love of God. Mr. Sealy was a person who truly cared about everyone. We all loved him, looked up to him, and totally respected him. He taught us baseball, but more importantly, he taught us about life. Come see me, he would say, You must take care of business. We would look in to his eyes and know exactly what he meant. He brought so m uch wisdom and joy to us all. We can never forget a man like Mr. Sealy. His spirit lives on forever. We will beat the drum Does anyone really have to fret, No matter what road I travel I?n going home. Students and teachers mourn the loss of Don Sealy, the first varsity baseball coach to lead a Samohi team to CIF victory, who died on March 18, 1982. He was thirty-five. ' Former captain of the UCLA baseball team, Sealy came to Samohi in 1971, after coaching baseball at St. Monica High School. In just his second year of coaching here, he led the Wkings through their best season in the history of the school. ' Sealy will be remembered as a deeply religious man. It was seen in his teaching and in the way he dealt with people. Students loved and respected him and will remember him for a long time.

is i E Derek Singleton Dear God, We all hope and pray that Derek will have a place to rest when he reaches your kingdom. We are so unhappy to hear of his death but it had to be that way. Please bless his family and friends who have loved and become close to him for he was so special to all of us. So God, we are asking you to hear this prayer from all of us who feel the hurt and sadness of Derek's death. He was a great athlete, a super student, and the best friend anyone could ever have known. Bless him with all your power and may his soul rest upon your hands. Thanks so ever Lord from his friends at Santa Monica High School
