The loss still left Samo as Bay League Co-Champions, but was a blow to a team that had hoped to become Samohi's first undefeated Soph- omore team. The Girls' Varsity Tennis team had another outstanding year, although they didn't qualify for the CIF playoffs. They finished second in Bay League with a 7-3 record, and are highly rated in CIF. The tennis team was paced by highly rated Kim Wilson and doubles partners Carol Chase and Kathy Bernard. All three will return next year. According to Coach Ardis Bo- nozo, The girls worked very hard, and never let up. Every girl on the team pulled for each other and that's important.
