Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, MEChA is understood as the origin of the Chicano move- ment. This group of students spon- sored one of six homecoming prin- cesses. They tMechaJ are interested in unity and new ideas as a goal for this years group. Throughout the year they made field trips to several schools such as U.C. Santa Barbara and U.S.C. to observe and talk with members of other Mecha organiza- tions. Through these trips they not only gained new friends but also many new ideas. Model Aviation is one of the very creative clubs at Samohi. CRUD, a very different and original club, has activities consisting of dance concerts, listening to classical music, Samurai Tea Ceremony and the annual CRUD concert ide- signed to create disturbancej. rs Model Aviation lst.
