Tall Flags This is the year for another Sergeanette first. Just three years ago the Samohi Tall Flags went as a seperate group, now the Sergeanettes have started an- other group, the Tall Flag Unit. They are under the direction of Tall Flag Lieutenants Vickey Smith, Natalie Ventre, Karen Chambers and Tori Kunzler. The Tall Flag Unit consisted of Fran- cis Bell, Michelle Burger, Maude Campbell, Randy Corlin, Lisa Datin, Tayreze Gibson, Cheryl Grandioetti, Angela Green, Chris Hanes, Carrie Heckler, Margie Irwin, Lisa MacLaughlin, Suzi Mason, Stephanie Strawbinger, Tracy Tayler, and Marla White. Those 16 girls appeared at foot- ball games and many other Ser- geanette activities. Sergeanettes Shake Your Bootie was the Sergeanette theme under the command of the Captains. They carried it throughout the whole year. They performed to the song Shake Your Bootie and many other arrangements. They became famous for the popular hit musical Chorus Line. With the help from the business managers, the Drill Team successfully performed in many half times, pep rallies and other Sergeanette activities. Sergeanette Officers: Joni Giberson, Vickey Smith, Kelly O'Brien, Donna Tyser, and Irene Burger.

You watched glowing lights when they performed on the football field and you boogied with them in pep rallies. In every com- petition they entered they placed high.
