Treasurer. .lune Seniors Recall Valued Experiences During their first year as Samohi Vikings, the members of the June class of '56 elected Deanna Afner and Don Ouchida to guide them and start traditions by which their class would be known. Sounding off tor the Junior B semester were President, Chuck Palmore, Vice-Presi- dent, Ray Kondo, Secretary, Susan Pickett, and Treasurer, Jean Lee. A class party cli- maxed this administration. Four hundred Viking Teamsmen united under the able leadership of Junior A Presi- dent, Judy Frantz, to produce an unsurpass- ed prom which netted S200 for their willing treasury. Vice-President, Gary Gholson, Sec- retary, Judy Glick, and Treasurer, Barbara Anthony worked feverishly to make this one of the most profitable semesters ever. As these Vikes became Seniors, they start- ed their last year by electing Tim Knapp, President, Georgia Bremer, Vice-President, Mary Dana, Secretary, and Rosemary Schmitz, Treasurer. The main job of this group was to lay firm foundation for the coming Senior A semester. Mary Hattaway now took over the helm. Assisting her with Saxon-strength were Chuck Palmore as Vice-President, Barbara Anthony as Secretary, and Joy Sutherland as money watcher. As they glance back at their tremendous Senior Play, Death Takes a Holiday, the prom, and Grad Night, they will remain proud of having been part of the voice that is the Viking. GLORIA R.
