Dear Seniors: You are pictured here as having re- ceived your diplomas. You are walking out into the world of work. We realize your interests are diverse--that some will go on to college, some will probably seek employment and make a very sub- stantial contribution in the field of their choice. Girls will do one type of work, and boys will select something different. We cannot predict what you will do, for the state of world affairs is more than a little confused. Thinking of boys, who are members of the class, we realize you have never slept in a foxhole , you have neve r experienced the inconveniences of combat conditions, but whatever the future may have in store for you, it is the hope of your Review staff that you will at all times consider the Arnerican home as the ob- jective toward which you are striving, and the institution which you select as the most significant among all the choices you may be privileged to make. We have no doubts concerning the eventual outcome of all conflicts, so long as youthful and aggressive American citizens believe in the principle of Worthy Home Membership, and place the support and maintenance of the American home high in the category of things they wish to achieve.
