i MR. RICHARD E. WERsT MR. CHARLES E. FELMLEE The work and broad policy-planning of our Board of Trustees often goes unsung. We perhaps forget about their regular, and special meetings, when they grapple with the many knotty problems of an expanding school system. We know, in all they under- take, they are our master planners for a brighter tomorrow, which could never come to pass except for the intelligent contributions which they make and the service they render. OUR APPRECIATION For Your FINE LEADERSHIP MR. W. WILSON Dam of Boyi MISS ETHEI. POPE Demi of Girlf MR. HARRY E. TYLER Snperizllendenl We, the students of the Santa Maria Union High School, take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for the excellent guidance and lead- ership shown through the passing years by our ad- ministrators under the supervision of Mr. Tyler. Mr. Wilson and Miss Pope. These, through their tireless efforts have led the vast majority of us along the straight and narrow path to future democratic citizenship. Some of us, molded by these experienced crafts- men, may develop into leaders in the struggle for world peace and unity. Others, perhaps not leaders in the broader sense of the word, may carry this knowledge, both scholastic and social, to the far corners of the globe in pursuit of their various occupations, thereby spreading the American way of life to all the peoples of the world. Still others will remain in this community think- ing, perhaps that they are adding nothing to the welfare of the nation, but at the same time doing their bit toward the development and prosperity of Santa Maria. This bit, however small it may be. when magnified one hundred and forty million times is the United States of America.
