'RIZSIDISNT Mk. lZi'tai2Nif D. MARTIN Qt? 'A J of 3'lfl5teQ5 The legal responsibility of the Santa Maria Union High School and junior College is vested in five men elected from the district which consist the Board of Trustees. The problems of handling school expendi- tures by purchasing new equipment and replacing the old, keeping the buildings in good condition, and regulating teachers' salaries are among many import- ant board activities. However, the major responsi- bility is that of choosing teaching personnel, and keeping an adequate educational program for the students. The present board are: President Eugene D. Mar- tin, Clerk Richard E. Werst, Mr. Fred I.. May, Mr. Paul D. Carlin, and Mr. Ernest Rgihetti. These men are conscientious and have given much time and ef- fort for the betterment of the campus and curriculum, of which the students are proud. A4.. - CLERKY- Mit. Ricziiaim li. Wi-1its'i MR.
