Taylor, English and social studies, division c .air man, senior prohlenis, testing. counselor, American institutions World-wide Viewpoint Developed A study of just what problems confront us in the future was begun when we entered as freshmen. ln our civics classes we learned to adjust ourselves to high school environment and feel that we really belonged to the school. We developed a sense of responsibility toward our school work. World History gave us an introduction of the past to the problems of today. In American History, the development of our country taught us our rights, privileges and responsibilities as future voters. We came to realize the importance of a deeper understanding needed to foster good will among all nations and peoples. Only through this means can a perma- nent world peace be insured. On the eve of our departure from high school we planned for the future in Senior Problems, The question of jobs and further education for each of us was analyzed. Our ability, apti- tude and interests were tested and taken into consideration in the plans. We can face the future only if we know the problems in our way and attempt to overcome them. Our freedom of speech and press gives to us the opportunities that most other countries do not grant their people. In our literature classes. we have learned to appreciate the efforts of suppressed people to voice their ideals. The spirit of America has been felt by the writers of yesterday and today. but it is now up to us to carry on in their footsteps. journalism gave some of us a chance to see our contributions in print. Through the Breeze and the Review many have experienced the thrill of having their efforts published. Many journalists have had their start in our high school and we hope that we. too. may carry on their fine work.
