WFS. 769120 QFGDAS' As Santa Fe High School graduates its fortieth class, and as we prepare the twenty-fifth issue of our school yearbook, our minds turn to the traditions of our school. Few people can remember a time when Mrs. Teena Franks was not a part of the life of Santa Fe, for she not only was a member of the schoo1's original faculty in 1928, but has taught in the high school for thirty-six of its forty years. Her participation in the life of this community acfually goes back over half a century, to 1915, when she came to Arcadia to take her first teaching position. At Santa Fe she has served as guide to several generations of students, coaching girls' athletic teams, sponsoring plays, trips, and innumerable other student activities, while serving as teacher and as principal. She served as advisor to the first War whoop annual in 1941, and on behalf of the present and past students of Santa Fe- High School, the staff of the 1968 War whoop, with sincere appreciation and gratitude, dedicates this yearbook to a grand lady, Mrs. Teena Franks.
