CLASS HISTORY September of 1938 marked the beginning of a school exper- ience for the following pupils: Ronald Lohec, Sally Remmers, Allene Konzack, Fran ces Mabel Gresham, Erma Locke, Fred Moore, Mary Luna, and Wanda Beaver. In the third grade we felt priviledged to receive Tom Brown into our class. Upon reaching the fifth grade I. E. Franks was added to our class role. The highlight of the sixth grade was the combining of Alta Loma and' Arcadia's classes. Also, Robert Marx and William Dyda joined our happy number at that time. The three fair maidens added to our number in the seventh grade were Peggy Tacquard, Rosie Moore, and Connie Dodds. At last we achieved the goal of eighth grade at Santa Fel Ruperto Mendoza was awaiting us. The freshman class welcomed Patsy Ortego with open arms. The sophomore year was enriched by class parties, beach par- ties, and slumber parties. Wanda Beaver was elected queen. Our junior year was especially interesting because we sponsor- ed the annual carnival and succeeded in electing Allene Konzack queen. The junior-Senior banquet was given in the Galvez Hotel, sponsored by Mrs. Weed and Mr. Whitaker. James Wilson was the only new class member that year. Ray Reifel's untimely death was a sad experience for all of us. The senior year arrived at last! The class greeted Jo Marie Freeman at mid-term. Mrs. Weed and Mr. Whitaker are our sponsors. Again our candidate, Patsy Ortego, was elected queen. Words are inadequate to express the joy and satisfaction that is going with the activities - - the rings, the Alumni Reception, the Annual, the class play, the pictures, the trips, and the parties. The Commencement, the Cgnsummating goal of the year, looms before us.
