He enioys most other sports, including surfing. John is a four-year math maior and a three- year scievnce maior. He plans on attending a four-year college and maioring in math or some closely related field. This past summer, John attended Boys' State in Sacramento. There were 844 boys in attend- ance who were all selected by their school facul- ties and administrations to attend the week-long conference and study California Government. After returning from Boy's State, John rushed off to San Gabriel for the National Association of Student Councils conference. He attended this week-long conference as a member of the Cali- fornia delegation. There were student represent- atives from all over the nation there and the purpose was to learn how student governments of other schools were run and ways to improve. 'pzwwlwb 196 - 63 AS 6 Leading Santa Fe's student body this year is seventeen year old senior Dick Daniel, Associat- ed Student Body President. His duties are to preside over all A.S.B. Cab- inet meetings and A.S.B.'Assemblies. Dick is also an honorary member of all cam'- pus clubs, the otticial guide for all visitors from Santa Fe, and the representative to public gath- erings from Santa Fe. Science Club, Boys' League Leadership com- mittee, President pro tempore of Senate, Boys' State delegate and participant in track have been some of his activities. Dick enioys surfing, swimming and most water sports- Besides his other activities and interests, Dick is a four year Science maior. Although Dick was chosen to go to Boys' State, he was unable to -do so clueto other plans. He was chosen from 500 applicants to at- tend Scripps College summer course in marine biology. This course was conducted at sea with no classroom work or examinations, He traveled to Mazatlan and La Paz, Mexico as well as up the western coast of the U. S. to the World's Fair. These summer activities made Dick more definite of his desire to go into oceanography. Dick's future plans are to attend a four year college and major in biology. He hopes later to go into oceanographyiand marine biology. it ffl i

Judy is a Business and Home Economics maior and plans on being a sec- retary and a housewife. Among her other duties, Judy is a secretary in the Business and Activities Office. Mr. Dandridge is this years advisor to Cabinet. He has been at Santa Fe for six years and was Dean of Boys and Assistant Principal in previous years. Now he is Assistant Principal in charge of Business and Activities- We hope he will be with us for many years to come. fhlmwu flllv. Jade 'D Ctuwww Joan 'guyxmii As Activities Chairman, Joan Bryant is one of the busiest member of Cabinet. She is a Senior and is a member of Pep Club, Great Ideas, and Activities Com- mittee. Joan is maioring if, French and plans to attend Long Beach State College. Her future may include being a history or English teacher. Gary Streed, Boys' League President, is a Senior thi year. He is a member of Pep Club and Honor Roll Gary is majoring in math and foreign language. Plan ning to attend a Junior College and then a four yea college, Gary will seek an occupation in the field o engineering.
