Shirley was a flagster two years and she has participated in Drill Team, Band, G.A.A., Tri-Lingual, Pep Club, Finance Committee, F.T.A., and Scholarship Society. She organized clean campus week and at- tended District Cabinet. Shirley wants to become a Teacher and at- tend Santa Barbara State. Pat Finney WW! yeiifwh Head Yell Leader, eighteen-year-old Rachel Orozco, has taken part in a great many activ- ities at Santa Fe. A few have been Drill Team, ASB. Songleader, Pep Club, Junior Class and Senior all night party planners. Rachel worked on homecoming pep rallies in the gym. She has also attended the Redlands Conference. College and becoming a Teacher of business are Rachel's future plans. Shirley Starr Pat Finney, the Sentinels President, is an eighteen-year-old senior. Pat has been in Cross Country, Track, Sen- tinels, and Varsity Club. He was also Boy Stater for T958 from Santa Fe. This year, Pat has attended conferences and helped plan homecoming. Pat's ambition is to become a teacher.

4.5. E, WM Seventeen-year-old Diane Licon has worked faithfully this year as our A.S.B. Treasurer. Dur- ing her four years here at Santa Fe she has been in G.A.A., Chautaquas, F.B.L.A., Congress, and Finance Committee. This year Diane has directed the selling pro- gram at games and dances and, among other things, planned the budget. Diane plans to go to college and become a certified public accountant. Lyle Patterson Ways., new Head Song Leader Pat Escobar is a sixteen- year-old junior. Pat is vice-president of Pep Club and secre- tary of Big Spirit. She has also taken part in G.A.A. and has been a member of Congress. Pat is district cabinet member and has at- tended the Redlands conference. She worked on homecoming and pep rallies in the gym. Publicity Chairman is seventeen-year-old Lyle Patterson. Lyle is a iunior and has participated in G.A.A., Drama Club, Congress, Dignitas, and Publicity Club. Lyle has advertised games and activities through posters, the quad bulletin board, and the main office showcase. mi N C3- According to Mr. Mel Locke, Student Cabinet Advisor, the 1958-59 Cabinet's accomplishments include the following: The Homecoming float, pep assemblies in the gym, longer lunch period, more dances, and the Varsity-Faculty basketball game. All ot these accomplishments have im- proved Santa Fe's activities. Some of the goals that Cabinet membels have set tor themselves are: lil to have all the trash cans on campus painted, l2l to establish a code ot ethics, l3l to host a District Workshop at the end ot the year, Ml to help bring a foreign exchange student to Santa Fe. Our Cabinet members have worked hard this year to make Santa Fe a better school. We all owe them a vote ot thanks.
