It is difficult to predict now what that event will mean to your future. But what you have accomplished during your three years at Santa Fe, will determine how well you have prepared yourself for the space age. We hope that your background of technical information will serve you well throughout your life, but we hope that you have learned other lessons as well. For the measure of a school is not dependent solely upon classroom learning. The things you have learned on the athletic field, in campus social life, and in your activities are equally vital. My wish for you is success and a full and happy life. Success is a combin- ation of technical skill and an understanding of the duties of citizenship and the responsibility each of us has for his fellow man. lf you have learned these things during your three years at Santa Fe, your school has served you welll That you have served your school well is clear from the outstanding record of accomplishments reviewed throughout this book.
