This championship performance was given by the following boys with the aid of our effi- Q ' cient and dependable coach, Mr. Powell: ti OSCAR SCHMIDT, JR.: Center ' I He earned his basketball suit his sophomore year and made the first team his junior year. Junior's over all scoring record for his entire basketball career was 1016, E1 total of 566 being scored while a senior. He has been a member of the oouforoooonoujotor team for It p pf . two consecutive years and was made a member. of the 500 Club of Missouri this year. Junior tj was also honored with a place on the Missouri State All-Star Third Team. R wt i A GERALD LANE: Forward ,. R My He won his suit his freshman year and succeeded in being awarded a first team po- i 'W sition when only a sophomore. During his junior year Gerald received honorable mention g ai ' T for the conference all-star award and while a senior, he received a well deserved honor--a u W M1 conference all-star trophy. Gerald tossed in a four'year total of 836 including 393 scored his senior year. .sw ygpii W1-:NDELL SCHMIDT: Forward 'ijt Having received his suit While a sophomore, he made the first team his junior year. tlrl As a result of his high scoring record, 1205 pointsg 658 of which were scored this year, Wendell received honorable mention for the conference all-star award while a junior and a tlrlophgfohgi Zenior year. Wendell's basket making prowess was instrumental in his making 2-3 1 i'1, e 5 u , LeRAE POINTER: Guard LeRae was given a suit his sophomore year and a first team position his senior year. He netted a total of 120 points, but his blocking and defensive work helped make Santa Fe successful in the title dash. gil' DONALD SCHREIER: Guard He was awarded a suit his junior year, but waited until a senior to win his place on W. ,iiii a the A 'team. Making only 75 points, Donnie proved to be a very successful rebounder and EIL lf interceptor, i I . H' 'V DARREL LYNN: Guard T He was presented a suit while a junior. Being one of our most versatile players ! ag Darrel was a substitute for two or three members of the A team. He had the ability to 3g play almost any position on the floor.
