TRI-Y The Tri-Y is a girls' service club, closely connected with the YWCA. COMMERCIAL CLUB ' The undaunted, unselfish spirit oi the members of the Commercial Club is illustrated every year during the various athletic seasons when they sell refreshments at all the games. The club also arranged the Toy Dance which is held to acquire toys to be distributed to needy children at Christmas time. Social events included a dinner and show and a picnic. Climaxing a very active year for the band was the Spring Concert for the public on April 26, the first that had been , given since the beginning of the war, The organization played for all the football games, march- ing very smartly in their colorful uniforms. A pep band performed for the rallies. On May 4 the group took part in the annual Spring Festival at San lose State. Only twenty-four students had ever played in the band before, but since there are only six graduating, the director has great plans for next year.
