Thomas Westervelt, President, and Nancy Braden, Vice-President, are conscious that the real leader will seek to understand the views of the many. They have a suggestion box to help them in this facet of leadership. Membership in The officers of the Associated Student Body govern this organization through a Student Council com- posed of class, section, and other campus-organiza- tion officers. The Student Council meets once each week and the decisions of Council are presented to the members of the Student Body through class meetings, section period, and student body meetings. Its greatest educative value is to prepare the members to fulfill their unique destinies in our larger American society. We always have time to learn and to welcome those persons who will help us to form ideals and goals-colleges, vocations, and other programs for our advancement. We are fortunate in this stable community to have qualified adults to assist us in our growth. It is to them that we look for dignified leader- ship as we take our places in the civic life in this community. The time we take to listen to others now pays rich in developing evaluations later.
