A Colleen Conway, Secretary William Gordon, Treasurer Edward Hertzog, President 1956 found us LISTENING . . . to learn the fade and frills of teenage times to the sharp commands of awesome seniors to football yells and cheers to the strange sounds of Latin l to the lilting music at our first formal 1957 found us LEARNING . . . the hypothesis and corollaries of mysterious geometry to accept responsibility on the new Student Council to know the winning smile and way of our new principal, Father 0'Sullivan clever songs and stunts for the annual Minstrel Show that we were growing up 1958 found us LOOKING . . . for copy to fill our very own news-bulletin Campus Beat at ourselves and life with a worldly mature attitude for opportunities to show our enthusiasm and do our bit for guidance from our Vice'Principal, Sister Mary Sheila forward to our senior year and an always bright tomorrow 1959 found us LEAVING . . . the hallowed tradition of a Homecoming time clocks ticking off victorious moments the lush and lazy spot on our senior lawn Welcome Week which bid the freshmen hello the timely founding of C. S. U. our names in the annals of Santa Clara history a host of loved friends both new and old sadly, but with an eye to the future 1960 found us LIVING . . . according to the up-to-heaven and down-to-earth principles we learned at Santa Clara with full, bright memories of our high school days a full Christian life that we may all come together again in the Glory of Heaven UFFICERS
