From This standpoint, our own class of '57 is not much different from The classes which have preceded us. Through The help of our counselors and The Sophomore Class Council, we sponsored a Sopho- more Week, The first of its kind, featuring a talent show and iam sessions. By The Time we were juniors, most of us down on were driving our own cars To school and looking homores. During The year, we continued To make money for our Senior ParTy by sponsoring a Junior Week, a The sop noon dance, a Talent show, and a movie. We also sold SBHS pennanTs. At ChrisTmas, we collected Toys for The Council of Christmas Cheer. urs were no excepTion. V: A . --- ' The annual Senior Magazine Sale, the class's biggest money-raising project, was ably guided by Kaaren Welo, chairman lseatedl. UE llllllllill Our senior year was a maze of over-crowded schedules and future plans, yet somehow we found time to cruise the Onion, attend Rec dances, and make the football and bas- ketball games. This year we undertook the biggest of our money-raising proiects, the magazine sales, from which we made over Sl500, At the beginning of the year we sold rooters' caps. During the second semester,lthose of us who had been outstanding in academic work or athletics were acknowledged through the Sealbearers, Bank of Amer- ica Awards, the annual awards assemblies, and various other honors. The year's social activities were climaxed with Senior Week and the all-night party on graduation night. After three memorable years at SBHS, we had decreased in number to some four hundred fifty. As we walked down the hill, we looked lust like any other class, but underneath - there was a difference.
