ur cfivifies 1 . i , , fr ' , S t The seniors who are in charge of senior week had an enor- mous iob to do as Nanci Browning, Janet Weidenbach and Dave Echols discovered. Nanci was in charge of Senior Frolics, and Janet and Dave were co-chairmen of Senior Week. During our second year, the hardest academ- ic school period, we sponsored a junior class- faculty basketball game, ca movie, and iam sessions. In our last, full year, we duplicated the junior year's activities and included magazine and decal sales, a senior class- faculty basketball game, and Senior Week with a barbecue, beach party, Senior Frolics, and the climax - the inspiring graduation ceremony and all-night party held at the Biltmore's Coral Casino. Representing the Senior Class, as well as making the decisions for the class, is the iob of the Senior Class Council. Members of the council include: Row 'I: D. Robinson, pres., R. Er . In September, 1953, the seniors ot 1956 entered high school as bewildered sophomores. Aiding and supporting our class, Mrs. Zelma Pierce and Mr. Clayton Clark, counselors, helped us become orientated to high school, and plan our future programs and vocations. Mixing in student lite, we ioined clubs relating to romance languages, hobbies or occupations. We soon were introduced to school traditions: No underclassmen allowed in the student-body roomg only senior girls sit in the front of the audi- Lorizung cmd such customs and institutions as: sitting in the rooting section at tootball games, then to the Rec , the BO , teen-age terminal, and cruising State to the beach. Class officers who presided over the Senior Class Council during the year are Dave Robinson, president, Rosalind Rea, secretary, Rod Duncan, vice- president, and Keith Troxel, treasurer. if I W i I fi sf, L -, 13 K, Zlzey Bead Talking over this year's program for the senior class are Dave Robinson, class president, Mrs. Zelma Pierce and Mr. Clayton Clark, senior counselors.
