The Board of Education represents the people in the management of the schools of the City of Santa Barbara. It is its function to deal with fundamental policies and the duties of the Administration to put them into effect. Dr. Curtis E. Warren, the Superintendent of Santa Barbara City Schools, has served this community for the last eight years, During that time he has gained national recognition for his leadership in the field of education. Recently Governor Olson of California appointed Dr. Warren to the State Board of Education.
