The Freedom Monument as it wil In the spring of 1969, Mr. Ernie Crane, political science instructor at Santa Ana College, approached FATA with the idea of errecting a monument honoring the boys who came from Santa Ana College and lost their lives in wars. FATA immediately accepted the idea and began to work to raise the necessary 57550. to build the monument. So far they have raised 52000 by a car wash, sponsoring a swap-meet, holding a jazz rock festival, and also from contributions made from people both on and off campus. It has been decided that any excess money will go into scholarships, eight of which Mr. Crane has already appropriated himself. 28 'llllblg Wllmnngmu- I look when it is built.
