Both are retiring this year, with Mr. Bruff spanning the colIege's growth from 1919 and Mr. Scott since 1927. JI Russell Bruff is known to thousands of Dons for his exacting work in botany, zoology and the biological sciences. He has advised many Executive Boards and is a longtime Science chairman. His colleague in the geology depart- ment is an authority on Pacific Slope geology. Our only regret is that he will not occupy the new geology lab and museum in the Hammond Hall of Physi- cal Science. We gratefully dedicate the i956 Del Ano to the teaching careers and student inspiration contributed by these dedi- cated scientist-educators. mvu v' .
