Striving for excellence. Saints who participate in competitive extracurricular activities know what it's like to be winners, but they also know what long hours of practice feel like, and they know the benefits of endless challenges provided by the coaches and advisors. Those organizations who take part in competitions go not only to win, but also to represent all of us. For there are many areas, besides athletics. in which we can be winners and show our special talents and gifts. Whether it’s competing in Kiwanis Bowl competitions, or the Super Quiz in OCAD, or trying for that Superior in music, those who participate in those organizations are representing not only themselves but also all of us. The satisfaction of victory is felt not only by those participating but also by those who support, guide, and cheer them on to victory. Showing their stuff.
