 Round-up Time ... so goes the theme of the 1977-1978 Homecoming. It started off with fun-filled activities through the week and on to a festive game and dance. The week started with a Halloween dress-up day. Continuing on with the fun-filled week was a submarine sandwich eating contest, a rowdy volleyball game between the Juniors and the Seniors, and a baby feeding contest. Ending the busy week was the traditional red and white dress-up day and alumni assembly. Spain was the name of the band that played for us at our Homecoming dance which was held after the game at Santa Ana College. 20-Homecoming

Homecoming 'll Tears of happiness, forced smiles, hidden broken hearts, and nervous anticipation were just a few of the multitude of emotions that cres-cendoed during the week of Homecoming. Friday night was the Homecoming game against El Modena. At halftime, the girls were driven around the field in a horse drawn carriage. The court was then escourted on to the field and the crowd awaited the announcement of the queen. Karen Kempa won the coveted title and cried with happiness as the former homecoming queen, Anne Sandoval, placed the robe and crown upon her. Karen's court was announced as Dolores Lopez, Leslie Riley, and Cristine Trujillo. Homecoming was an exciting e-vent, and even though the Saints were defeated by El Modena, the strong Santa Ana pride and spirit carried on!! 22-Homecoming
