Excellent leadership ability was demonstrated by this year's Board of Control headed by Ken James, President; Gary Brown, Vice-President,- and Jacquie Ransom, Secretary. Early in the year members of the Board attended two leadership conferences at Redlands University and of Camp Buck-horn, where they obtained valuable information concerning their individual offices ond school activities. The first major project of the Winter Board was the sole of Student Body Cards, which proved very successful. Due to the cooperation ond enthusiasm of the Board, the Color Doy activities will always be remembered. Among their other achievements were giving the Football Banquet, improving the campus litter problem, and presenting humorous skits at our pep assemblies. Ken Jomes. President. Gory Brown. During the post semester, the Spring Board of Control hos anxiously carried on with the work begun in the fall. The members of the Board formed a very efficient governing body, led by a very able President Chuck Briggs, Vice-President Bill Morales, and Secretory Carol Hyneman. The other capable students filling out the Board were Cindy Weaver, Commissioner of Finance; Pam Kennedy, Commis$:oncr of Publicity; Caroline Dun-ton. Commissioner of Student Relations,- Jacquie Ransom, Commissioner of Girls' Athletics,- Ted Parks, Commis$:oner of Boys' Athletics,- and Bruce Reynolds, Chairman of the Self-Government Committee. The Board, co-ordinated by its advisor, Mr. Black, worked harmoniously with Mr. Stone to bring forth many ideas beneficial to the student body. Some of their more important projects hove included the improvement of the school grounds, the Annual Talent Assembly and Student Body Day. Chock Briggs. President.
