ROW 1: V. Duncan, J. Thomas, M. Wilson, S. Milligan, L. Aasen. ROW 2: Mr. Black, D. Steinle, D. Andrews, G. Anderson, D. Whitney. WINTER BOARD OF CONTROL This year’s winter Board of Control leaders, Doug Andrews, president; Gary Anderson, vice president; and Sue Milligan, secretary, showed excellent leadership ability. The Board began the year by attending the leadership conference at Camp Osceola, where they gained valuable knowledge about their own offices and activities. The sale of student body cards, which was an outstanding success this year, was the Board’s first major project. Because of their cooperation and enthusiasm, Color Day will always be remembered. The activities of the day included the morning assembly with the kangaroo court, the football game, and the annual Color Day Dance. Other noted achievements sponsored by the Board were the pep assemblies, where they enacted several amusing skits.
ROW 1: N. Hunter, W. Filson, C. La Bonte, J. Price, F. Porter. ROW 2: B. Glasser, M. Goldstein, R. Baggerly, D. Allen, Mr. Black. SPRING BOARD OF CONTROL Last semester found the Spring Board of Control busily occupied, discovering new activities to interest the students, which would be held here at school, and starting new traditions. Student Day, arranged by the board, certainly fulfilled these goals. In addition to Student Day, these ambitious leaders also worked diligently on the Talent Assembly and Senior Assembly. Working with their capable advisor, Mr. Black, three students are to be especially commended: Bob Glasser, President: Dick Allen, Vice President; and Willa Filson, Secretary. Also deserving acknowledgment are the members of the board who worked with these people: Judy Price, Commissioner of Publicity; Frankie Porter, Commissioner of Finance; Nancy Hunter, Commissioner of Girl’s Athletics; Russ Baggerly, Commissioner of Boy’s Athletics; Mickey Goldstein, Chairman of the Self-Government Committee; and Cindy La Bonte, Chairman of Student Relations.
