SPRING BOARD OF CONTROL Preside ’ -STAN FARRAR SPRING BOARD OF CONTROL When the spring Board of Control were elected in January they had a lot of planning and hard work ahead of them. They organized the assemblies and noon dances in addition to handling all the student activities. This active board was under the leadership of their officers: Stan Farrar, President; Joel Ohlgrep, Vice President; and Bonnie Walker, Secretary. All posters or bulletins in the halls are set up by these board members. They can always be seen doing some worthwhile project. This year they were supporting the American Field Service campaign to raise money for foreign exchange students. No, the work of this board is never finished until the last day of school. They are continually building the quality of student government activities. May the students on this spring board be congratulated for their industrious work! GIRLS' LEAGUE THE GIRLS' LEAGUE CABINET The Girls’ League Cabinet had another very successful year during 1959 and 1960. The first semester's cabinet was headed by Caroline Ault, President; Carlyn Peelle, Vice President; Angie Tafoya, Secretary; and Nancy White, Treasurer. This cabinet sponsored such activities as the New Students' Dinner, the Girls' Assembly, and the decorating of the Christmas tree in the foyer. They were also in charge of the Sophomore Tea, which included a fashion show presented by Buffums', and the Color Day Dance, which centered around a delightful circus theme. For the spring semester the girls of Santa Ana High School elected Susan Weaver, President; Lee Fernandez, Vice President; Penny Peelle, Secretary; and Penny Utley, Treasurer. This cabinet also presented a Girls Assembly,- but their most important duty was that of sponsoring one of the biggest events of the year, the Co-ed. This dance was one of the biggest and most successful dances of the year. To all girls on the Cabinet we extend our congratulations for another year of wonderful activities. Row I- Caroline Ault.
