Kahn, Commissioner of Finance. As the spring semester opened in January, the student body was assured of good school government by its newly elected student body officers. After the excitement of election week, with its campaign banners and poster, its slogans, and speeches, its cards and handbills, its elations and disappointments, school life settled back to normal. Heading school government for the second semester were Dave Kenmuir, Student Body President; Larry Steffens, Vice-President; and Sandy Sorensen, Secretary. During their term the Board of Control members were kept busy with the planning of all school assemblies. They sponsored the talent assembly, the election assembly, all pep assemblies, and the awards assembly. This was in addition to their regular job of supervising all student activities. One of their last official duties was to choose the coming year's pep squad. June saw the completion of jobs well done by these second semester student body officers.
