After the excitement of election week, with its campaign banners and poster, its slogans, and speeches, its cards and handbills, its elations and disappointments, school life settled back to normal. Heading school government for the second semester were Dave Kenmuir, Student Body President; Larry Steffens, Vice-President; and Sandy Sorensen, Secretary. During their term the Board of Control members were kept busy with the planning of all school assemblies. They sponsored the talent assembly, the election assembly, all pep assemblies, and the awards assembly. This was in addition to their regular job of supervising all student activities. One of their last official duties was to choose the coming year's pep squad. June saw the completion of jobs well done by these second semester student body officers. Theirs is the responsibility of making decisions concerning the students at Saintland, with the advice of Mr. Farrar and Mr. Trawick. The first big job of the winter Board of Control was the planning of Color Day.
