Organizations at Santa Ana Senior High School are the storehouses of school spirit, leadership, and cooperation. With every grain of sand which passes through the hour glass, at least one organization is busily working on one project or another. Here, our leaders of tomorrow are being trained to face major problems in their later life. Recognition of students in such fields as art, drama, and music has again, this year, brought prestige to our school. Minutes, hours, days, and months have elapsed with these organizations producing top notch artists, actors, and performers. High school days are the best time of our lives, and judging from the enthusiasm aroused in our organizations, they are the years we will most treasure when we later look back upon them.

Many long and hard hours go into this publication, but the result is well-worth the hard work. This year many students in the Creative Writing class won honorable mentions and awards in various contests. Out of the seventeen students enroiled in the class, eight took honors in the National High School Poetry Anthology, and seven, in the Essay Anthology. Other contests entered by the Literary Sammies and Sallies included the Browning Poetry Contest, the Alliance of Fine Arts contest, and the American Legion Auxiliary Essay contest.
