Among the activities which a student may enjoy at Santa Ana High School are the school publications handled by the students. These include The Generator, a periodical newspaper, our yearbook, the Ariel, and Leaves in the Wind, a magazine published by the Creative Writing class. School publications keep an accurate measurement of the growth and records of the school, as well as give the students experience in writing and journalism. For the many long hours and hard work put into these publications, a great deal of satisfaction and pride in the result is the reward—a well-earned one.

Jo Ann has had a very cooperative staff of thirteen talented students, who have worked hard and long on their committees. There are five groups. The Administration committee is headed by chairman Ellen Clarke; Organization and Publication committee is led by Isabel Gowen; Don Hartman is chairman of Boys' Athletics,- Donna Armstrong heads the Girls' Athletics committee; and the Classes committee is headed by chairman Jo Ann Glines. Many weeks were spent selecting an original theme, deciding upon the proper illustrations, and arranging the pages. Much credit should be given this group for the efficient and creative effort put forth in handling the yearbook. 18
