Moments To P Remember GRADUATION The year went by quickly for the Graduating Seniors. Throughout 1984-85 the seniors thought that they were the baddest, best, and 1. Nothing could change their minds. The year seemed to start slowly with Football games and Pep Rallies. The Seniors will never forget Mrs. Barnes Government Classes, especially after reading 1984 written by George Orwell it was so long and boring, we thought it would end up in 1985. Free Enterprise was a change of pace, especially the movies and the films. The year seemed to fly by after football season. Holidays were here and gone. The day was getting closer. Senior-Junior Prom Highlighted the end of the year. Everyone was dressed so sharp. Baccalaureate was a quiet time. The processioal was long, but the service was short and sweet. Senior Night was a time to shine for parents. All of our accomplishments, awards, and scholarships were read. The wills. History, and prophesies were read, also. Trisa and LeeAnn started laughing so hard while reading a certain prophesy. The Key Cutting Cermony followed, a time to show that our unity was to be cut so that we go as individuals. Finally, Graduation Time had come with everyone feeling tense and anxious. Seniors will remember how the locker room was so crowded and hot and how nervous everyone was waiting to proceed. The exercises started with Stephen delivering the invocation. Laurie delivered the Salutatory address; Lynelle the Valedictory address. The band played and then each Senior received his her Diploma. After Brent’s benediction, everyone threw his or her hat up in the air. It was a happy and sad moment for some of the seniors. Seniors had time to break one more rule by racing off the field out of rank hugging each other, laughing, and crying getting all mixed together. As we each go our separate ways we will always have the fondest memories to look back on. SHS has filled us with great Pride and given us the skills and courage to fulfill our Promises for the future.
