CLASS PROPHECY OF 19 49 SENIORS Ten years have passed since the Senior Class of Nineteen Hundred and Forty- nine were -sent into this wild and wicked world to seek a fortune. Some have married, some have not, some are rich, some are just livingg but everyone seems to be very happy in the fortune. they have found for themselves. For some reason I desire to visit everyone and find out about the past and present. Here is what I have accomplished. So where could be a better place to start than S. H. S.? I walked into the office and asked for Mr. Boldin, but the cute little office girl didn t seem to remem- ber a coach named Boldin.I asked who the coach was and she said, Why I thought everyone knew that it was Mr. Lovell. In walked a nice looking man, who was no one but J. R. Lovell. He is now married to Nancy Porter. He has had a winning football team for five years. I decided to go see Miss Callie, where a woman about twenty-seven greeted us with a smile. Why it is Marilyn Warschun. Marilyn has taken over all of the Business Departm ent. What is that spice I smell? It must be Mrs. Lindley and her homemaking girls cooking pies. Why that is not Mrs. Lindley. It is Bobbie Lewter now directing the department. Bobbie says, No student teachers over my girls. Sanger is now the town of fine cooks. I was walking down town and met a woman and three boys. Why it could be none other than Janette Fellers. She is now married to Johnnie Richardson and she says she really keeps busy cooking for Johnnie and the three boys. It must be Saturday evening because here comes joy Rippey Harris and a jeep full of kids for the drawing. - Austin will be my next stop. I want to see that nice-looking governor, Melvin Chapmarnwho still says, All politicians are liars, but not all liars are politicians.'

Johnny Stricklin and his wife, Martha, are now with the Ring Brother's Circus. They are known as, The Stricks . All the children love to see the Strick clowns and their tricks. What! A woman in the welding business? Why yes, it is Celia Baird Cobler striving for a living while joe gets an education. I walked down to the Railway station to get a ticket to New York. That is where I met Merle Phillips, now working for the Santa Fe office. Peggie Thompson is working in Russells now, while waiting for Gene to get his degree. Gloria Horst Waide is now a private secretary to the president of Bell Tele- phone Company, because the president is now Wayman. New York is wonderful. That is where I met Wanda Schertz Hollingsworth, now Broadway's famous model. She refuses to live on the farm with Holly. Texas University is where I found the genius of the class, Patsy Rector. Pat is working on her degree and has gotten it every bit on her scholarship award. She refuses to pay anything. Now is the time for a football game. Bill Walker is S. M. U.'s best player. Bill is what Doak could never be. Why, who is that drum major marching out on the field? It could be no one but that famous Teddy Joe Wolfenbarger from S. H. S. Look at this neat white house with a cute little mail box with Clariece and W. H. Hommons written on it. W. H. is now coach for Valley View, and Clariece is now teaching science. This sign appears before my eyes. It says Spratt and Son . Why Sammy must be married now, and he and his son are in business.
