Under the direction of Mr. Le- berson, the Debate Club provided an outlet for the interest in cur- rent events. This club has debated many timely and thought-provok- ing themes. The officers of the club have attended a high-school debate at Hofstra, and the club has advanced greatly in the time- old science of debating. and Interests Calhoun High School maintains an active chapter of the Junior Classical League - a national organiza- tion forrned to make high school students aware of the culture of ancient Greece and Rome.
