Smith, C. Weiglg SECOND ROW: K. Tonnessen, and Faculty Staff Under the management of Mr. Robert Fite, the Calhoun Audio-Visual Squad completed its second successful year of service to the school. Its members were always on hand when needed, giving up study periods to operate the audio-visual educational equip- ment, such as projectors, record players, and tape recorders. The squad is the oldest service organiza- tion in the school. The P.A. squad kept score at the football games, basketball games, and wrestling matches and an- nounced all important information to the students in the bleachers. The squad, with Mr. Gerald Gorman, used the school public address systems to do their job, This service club has been in existence at Calhoun for two years. P.A. Squad - Mr. G. Gorman, F. BACK - Library Club The Library club is the girls' service organization serving the students and teachers availing themselves of the facili- ties of the Calhoun High School library. Each member must have a minimum class average of eighty-two, must devote five periods a week to work in the library, and must be willing to help all those in need of assistance there. The girls are each taught the basic library skills 5 they learn to Hle and shelve books, check them in and out and answer most reference questions. The group provided its own broadcasting and receiving equipment from among the membership. The group was ably assisted by Mr. Herbert Kamins.
