The International Relations Club further pro- gressed towards its goal of achieving a better under- standing of the peoples of the world. Foreign exchange students from Korea and the Sudan were welcomed to Calhoun High in Decem-- ber, as the students of the school and the members of the club tried to gain an insight and an under- standing of their countries. In April, I.R.C. mem- bers attended a mock political convention at Valley Stream in an effort to study by doing in the field of politics and its mechanics. A world foods banquet and the annual trip rounded out the activities of the organization. This year was a busy one for thirty members, the Key Club raised most of their S750 scholarship fund, sponsored a basketball game, acted as guards at the football, basket- ball, and wrestling games, and collected money for the Heart Fund, Cerebral Palsy Fund, and the Red Cross.
