Varsity football rally promotes pep Despite rain, snow, hail or fog, the varsity rally was always on the job, at home or away, cheer- ing the football team and inspir- ing the fans to yell louder. Long hours after school were spent developing new yells, new rou- tines and pep assembly stunts. What would a football game be without the rally? Pace quickens during second week The Frosh party gets the second week off to a busy tempo. Student body card pictures are scheduled, teachers really get in gear and begin to pile on the work. Football is in its sec- ond week of competition and swimming and cross country teams form; members begin to practice in earnest. It looks like school has settled in for a long winter - fall and spring, Sharon Beatty interviews Ruth Bowman about her half year in Germany and Dagmar Tanda about her inpress ions of America. Ruth lived with Dag- mar and Dagmar had come to live here in San- dy and to attend SUHS Mrs. Doris Johnson and Mrs. Sheila Jones discuss whether to let students escape to the library, LASSIE or MRC.
