In ending a rivalry with Union Academy of Belleville nine Comets each played all nine positions. The base-run- ning highlight of the season oc- curred at General Brown when Jeff Stagnitti stole second, third, and home. Second Row: Tom Cuarasce, Mark Haynes, Chris Ellis, Jim Fargo, Steve Yerden, Mike Gilbert, Tim Darling, Chuck Wheeler, Terry Kimball, Tracy Turck. Third Row: Coach Hunt, Chris Hughs, Kevin Hulbert, David Reed, Matt Salisbury, Howard Mills, Randy Brennan, Coach Brown. The Varsity Baseball team moved up to the A Division last year. Despite their losing record they kept all scores close and dis- played constant improvement. Coach Hunt is looking forward to a great 1985 season. Terry Hunter, who led the team in batting and played 1st base, was chosen for the All-Star Team. Terry was also the recipient of the John Crighton Memorial Award. Softball Varsity Front Row: Mitsi Thompson. Second Row: Robin VanCamp, Kim Haldane, Michelle Dowlearn, Kathy Brewer, Renee Pisik, Yvonne Burnett. Third Row: Mrs. McDougal, Diana Brown, Heidi Learned, Lisa Graham, Chris Fowler, Sherry Collins, Bev Bush, Diana Leighton. This was the Varsity Softball team's first year in the A division. They ended up winning the A divi- sion with a 13-2 record. The team also came out as league champions beating South Lewis in the play- offs. The 1984 team included 4 all stars: Diana Leighton - Pitcher, Mi- chelle Dowlearn - Catcher, Kathy Brewer - outfield, and Kim Haldane - 2nd base. An honorable mention was given to Renee Pisik - 3rd base. Most improved player award went to Heidi Learned.
