This year's team was led by four seniors: Chris Ellis, Tim McDou- gal, Mike Gilbert, and Thad Schug, who provided the experience and leadership needed for a successful season. One of the most memorable games this season took place at the Oswego tournament where the Comet underdogs made it to the finals and won by one point for the championship. As a team, the J.V.'s progress was eratic this yearp the record hardly 2 ! r reflects the talents and abilities of the team members. There were many close games which the team lost by less than 5 points, or in overtime play. On the other hand, Coach Pen- nock observed a great deal of indi- vidual improvement citing Ben Halsey, a first year player, as a prime example of this fact. The highlight of this season oc- curred at South Lewis in which the I.V.s came back from a 12 point def- icit and won by a five point margin. Consolation trophies were also won by the J.V. boys at the Oswego Tip Off Tournament and the Water- town Christmas Tournament.
