Although a picture was not avail- able at this writing, congratulations goes out to the following students who participated in the concerts which took place March .31 at A.P.W. fSr. highl, and March 2 at Hannibal Ur. Highj: jr. High Band: Aaron Pierce, Scott Brown, Sandy Towles, Kellie Pettit, Nick Stevens, Tamara Clark, Claire Stagl, Terry Engst, Dan Stevens, and Jack Allen. The band was directed by Bill Woodruff from Fairport. Sr High Band' Chuck Wheeler, Larry Ellis, Heidi Learned Cheryl Wheeler, and Jenny Wydysh. In their third year the Sandy Creek jazz Ensamble, under the di- rection of MJ Spencer, has begun to play some serious jazz music. Se- niors Jim Rowell and jenny Wy- dysh, juniors Krista Miller and Matt Ridgeway, and Freshman Jim Pomicter, who were in the original group, provide experience along with many talented two year members. The jazz Ensemble made their debut at the Christmas Concert, followed by performances at the Pops and Spring Concerts. They have since participated in two com- petitions: one at the Syracuse Civic Center and another at Mohawk High School. In March they per- formed in an exchange concert with Hamilton jazz Band. o Organizations

Third Row: Angela Kimball, Heidi Learned, Chuck Wheeler, Kim Ouderkirlc. The 1984 Sectional All-State Mu- sic Festival was held on November Band 17, at Watertown High School. Ap- proximately 400 students from 34 high schools across New York were chosen according to the grades they received during the May solo com- petition to participate in All-State. Conductors from as far away as Wisconsin directed the young mu- sicians.
