There was a lot of improvement throughout the season, even though the team was plagued with injuries. Special awards went to: Aaron Wydysh - MVP, jim Po- micter - Best Team Spirit, jamie Smith - Best Offensive Player, Bill Stone - Best Defensive Player, and Mike Glazier - Most Versatile. fThe last two A.P.W. games were played by the 7th and 8th graders.J

The team consisted of many players with little experience, but fine athletic abilities. During the season Coach Fowler and Coach Duncan often collaborated to teach both modified and varsity players using the same philosophies and techniques. Coach Fowler mentioned a few outstanding players: Sam Wash- burn-a team leader and hustler, Dave Reed-an all-around excellent player, and jim Rowell-a quick learner with lots of experience. Al- though they had a losing record their coach said that they were play- ing excellently by the end of the year.
